Good News Blues Festival – Lake Ozark, MO
July 26 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm| Free
The Good News Blues Festival will kick-off at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 26 with the Sanctified Blues Band followed by the Joe Lewis Band at 8 p.m. on Luby’s State on the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark.
The Sanctified Blues Band’s motto is, “Using Blues to Spread the Good News.” Those who enjoy B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughn might also enjoy this show. The Sanctified Blues Band mixes the traditional gospel blues feel with some very edgy blues guitar and passionate vocals.
The Joe Lewis Band is a great Christian blues band that plays with all the conviction you expect to hear from the greats of our time and even before. Joe Lewis was raised in the south and hails from Picayune, Ms. His band has that blues tone and feel that takes you to that place where magnolias perfume the air, and little church houses on a hill can be experienced. Joe Lewis loves to play music that tells the story of the truly amazing things God has done in his life.
This free festival is organized by the Bagnell Dam Outreach and people of all ages are invited to come out and here some great Christian blues. The stage is located between Artsy Fartsy and the Wok n Roll Thai Restaurant. For more information call Bill Hatfield at 760 202-9898 or visit www.bagnelldamoutreach.com.
